Movements with one part of your body

In belly dances you can find a lot of movements with only one part of your body. For example, it’s thigh and breast displacements, shimmies and twists and so on. These movements need to mark a musical instrument or to concentrate audience’s attention to one part of a dancer’s body. These movements are called isolation movements.

Isolation movements are not very simple. Maybe it will be difficult for you to make them at once. But be patient and don’t upset. At first time make these elements slowly and concentrated. You’ll certainly make this element!

Here there is an analogy. You see a dancer who makes an element, which you can’t make today. It’s like a situation when a baby tries to catch a ball. He doesn’t have a knack. But for you it’s not a problem to take something. And you will not think about necessary pressure. You’ve done it million times.

The same situation you can see with difficult movements of east dance. If you want to learn them, you should take patience and train a lot. And one day these elements will be easy for you.
