Egyptian oil

Perfumes were widespread in embalming.

For mummy making it was better to use cedar’s oil, which was considered as sacred oil.

Egyptian priests found out an aroma’s force and included them to divine services. Plants, from which essential oils were extracted, had a soul, which gave a medical property and supernatural forces.

There were seven secred oils, which were used to make a mummy. In this list of oils were included Syrian balsam, Libyan oil, cedar’s oil and chrism (it’s an aromatic oil, which is used in Christian divine services).

Except religious purposes oils were used to get a stress away, to raise a spirits, to get an atmosphere of calmness and pacification. They used to reduce asthma attack and poisoning symptoms. Today we have an ancient recipe, which included sweet flag’s root, henna, spikenard, incense, myrrh, cinnamon, cypress and tar of a pistachio-tree.

These ingredients were combined in certain proportion and it must be a really wonder-working substance.
