A costume for you

Is it difficult to decide, what costume you want? Assortment is so broad and it charms you with its shine and variety! We’ll try to help you. Answer the following questions one after another, write down or sketch answers and you get a view about a dancing costume of your dream.

1. Decide, whether you want a dress or a costume with two parts

2. If you have chosen a costume, what components you want: a bodice and a skirt or a bodice and trousers

3. Decide about length of bodice’s sleeves: long bell-bottomed or fitting hand, short. Your bodice can have only one sleeve.

4. Decide about length of a bodice: the bodice can be short as a bra or it can be a little lengthened. Another variant is a lengthened bodice with triangle cuts on the edge.

5. Trousers: loose, tight, with cuts on each side, with an elastic band above knees, bell-bottomed under knees

6. Skirts: bell-bottomed, a skirt ‛A fish‛ (it fitting your thighs and bell-bottomed under knees), skirts with the pointed edge

7. Length of a skirt: skirts can be very short, consisting of beads strings, long, and also can be long, but shorten on the one side. You can decorate shortened side with beads strings.

8. A dress: usually a dress wears with special east style dances and this style defines a style of a dress. But all depends on your wish and fantasy. It is possible sew together lengthen bodice and a skirt; it will be showy, if you sew together lengthen bodice and a skirt with a cobweb. You can sew together only a part of skirt and bodice. For example, you can make a triangular insert in front of a dress, which will join a skirt and bodice. You can sew two ends of an inset to a skirt and one end to a center of a bodice or vice versa.

9. Decoration of a costume: bijouterie, coins, a fringe, and applications

10. A belt and a thigh shawl: don’t hurry to sew on coins or fringe to top part of your skirt or trousers. You can fast and easy change your costume’s decorations. And you can do it with change a shawl or a belt. They should match to your costume and sew them with different decorations. Thus, you’ll have several costumes at the same time and it’ll cost you only one minute.
