Preparations for wedding in Islam
To enter into a marriage it’s very important that a bride practices Islam or, at least, was not a heatheness.
Between a groom and a bride should not be related connections to enter into a marriage. A bride should not be ex-wife of groom’s father or son, a bride should not be groom’s foster child or teacher or a dairy sister. A bride should not be married to a Moslem (but a capture on war is considered as a divorce). It should be publicly announced, that a groom and bride’s relatives make a bargain.
After all premarital conditions and preparations for wedding, wedding ceremony begins. Wedding ceremony traditionally begins with the marriage sermon. As a rule, an imam of a mosque reads this sermon.
An imam is a head of a mosque. He is chosen from parishioners. A man must be respected for all community to be an imam. And he should know Koran well and understand Muslim rights.
