A marriage sermon in the Islam
A marriage sermon explains to a groom and a bride their new rights and duties. A marriage sermon ends with congratulations newly married and reading prayers for happiness new young family.
Ceremony of wedding is made at home or in a mosque. After wedding ceremony groom’s and bride’s guests are gathered at groom’s house and a wedding celebration begins.
A man from bride’s side must present at wedding ceremony. This man can be bride’s guardian, brother, father or father’s brother. At least an imam can be bride’s guardian during a wedding.
There must present at least two men-witnesses on wedding to enter into a marriage. Witnesses must be pious and religious Moslems. Witnesses should be able to see and know language of wedding ceremony.
During a wedding ceremony an imam asks a groom’s and a bride’s agreements to enter into a marriage in presence of witnesses and bride’s guardian. A groom should answer, and a bride can keep a silent. In this case, her silence will accept as consent.
